Sydney Writers Festival

On Monday 16 May, the Sydney Writers Festival was held in Walsh Bay, and students were given the opportunity to meet the authors John Boyne, Michael Grant, Vikki Wakefield and Claire Zorn. Each author gave a talk on their experience as writers, their lives, and their inspirations that led them to where they are today. These talks were then followed up with questions, where highly thoughtful and critical queries were answered. The whole day was greatly informative for all who had attended. All were engaged with the topics of discussion, the books that the authors had written, and the opportunities given for learning skills for better writing. Overall, everyone who attended the Sydney Writers Festival left enriched and filled with knowledge, with a smile stuck on their faces, and a sense of satisfaction with the day.
